I’m Faye Lawand

An internationally recognised Internal Conflict Resolution expert, educator and founder of The School of Resolution

I burned out in paradise. That’s when I knew something deeper was going on.

I was living in the Caribbean, a place where people usually go to escape their troubles, not find them. I was working in a role I’d trained for, doing “all the right things.” From the outside, I had it together. But inside, I was burnt out, foggy, exhausted, and unraveling quietly.

When the doctors told me my tests were normal, I broke down. “If nothing’s wrong with me,” I asked, “why do I feel so bad?”

That question started everything. It took me far beyond band-aid solutions and into the work of nervous system healing, subconscious reprogramming, and emotional resolution; the kind of work that creates real change, at the level the problem actually lives.

Burnout isn’t always loud.

Mine didn’t look dramatic. It looked like pushing through. It looked like partying and retail therapy. It looked like showing up with a smile while silently falling apart.

What it really was, was decades of unprocessed trauma from growing up in a war zone, being separated from family, and carrying the emotional weight of survival and displacement, all hidden under a carefully curated life.

When I hit rock bottom for the third time, I did what most people do. I turned to therapy, coaching, supplements, mindset tools, meditation. They all helped... a little. Nothing created lasting change, because nothing was working at the depth the problem lived.

The anxiety kept coming back. The emotional spiral. The physical symptoms. The feeling that I was holding it together by a thread.

Eventually, I stopped asking, “What’s wrong with me?” And I started asking, “What’s underneath this?”

I’ve lived through what I now help others move through.

I know what it’s like to live in a body that never feels quite at ease. To carry a quiet weight, even when life looks good on the outside. To be told everything is fine, but still feel disconnected, overwhelmed or not quite yourself.

My story began in a part of the world shaped by conflict and uncertainty, but I’ve learned that the nervous system doesn’t only respond to large dramatic events like war. It responds to pressure, disconnection, constant striving, emotional invalidation and within the avoidance strategies we use to cope, like doom-scrolling, bingeing on alcohol, food, shopping, Netflix, sex, even over-caring for others or workaholism.

You don’t have to go through something ‘big’ to feel stuck. Maybe you’re not even sure yet what it is that you’ll discover. Maybe you’re just a human, living in a world that often asks too much of us. It’s not the problem that’s the issue, it’s the fact that it remains unresolved.

I do things differently.

In my previous career as a teacher, my students struggled to pronounce my surname. So I told them to think of a magic wand. Lawand rhymes with ‘wand’ and I like to think there’s a little bit of magic involved in what I do.

The method I use is one I’ve developed over years of study, lived experience, and client results. It brings together nervous system regulation, subconscious integration, and somatic processing to help you resolve what’s driving the emotional chaos, not just manage it.

I’ve lived in 13 countries, speak multiple languages, and have a deep understanding of the human condition, not only from formal training, but from decades of multicultural experience.

This isn’t therapy. It’s not mindset work. It’s not about talking it out. It’s about working with the body and mind as one system, and guiding it back to safety, clarity, and capacity.

This approach is science-backed, grounded in a trauma-aware, client-led philosophy, and based on a proprietary system, The Overwhelm Solution. It’s the central mechanism of the work I do, and it’s helped hundreds of clients across 16 countries and six continents experience real, lasting resolution, in three months or less.

When clients finish this work, many tell me they wish they’d learned it years ago. That’s why I created the School of Resolution—because this is the stuff we should have been taught, but never were.
